Description
Two of the beautiful wild horses taking a walk along the beach. These descendants of Spanish Mustangs, live on North Carolina's northern Outer Banks, near Corolla. They roam some 7500 acres of protected beach, dunes, and maritime forests, as their ancestors have done for 500 years. They wander out onto the beach, where the winds gives some relief from the flies, and offers cooling on hot days. This black stallion and one of his mares strolled calmly down the beach for a couple of miles, before heading back across the dunes.

Fon, Such a beautiful capture. I've always wanted to see the Wild Horses of N.C. Perhaps when the world is back to some sense of normalcy. Thank you for sharing these beautiful creatures! l/f
