Artist's Description
It was a windy day on the beaches of North Carolina's Outer Banks. Not many people ventured out because the wind was blowing sand so hard it stung any bare skin. The Terns were huddled along aide a small tidal pool. The deep red sand in the foreground, with the water of the tidal pools, then the light tones of the blowing sand, all topped off with a beautiful Carolina blue sky, presented perfect color palette.
About Fon Denton
I was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. Now, back home, and just enjoying the ride. I've been a photographer for over 40 years, first as a hobbyist, and then as a professional. I've enjoyed a lifelong love affair with animals domestic and wild, especially horses. I am an animal advocate, an outdoorsman, and naturalist first, and then a photographer. I believe that it is important to know, understand, and respect and protect the subjects that you want to photograph before ever setting foot in the wild. Self-described as a thinker, philosopher, photographer, and geek, but mostly just a dreamer! I won't bore you with a lot of pretense and fluff.
