A young black bear feeding in a soybean field, in the early morning, still has a bit of breakfast in his mouth. His coat is wet from the heavy dew on the plants. Sometimes you look out across the fields and see just a hint of black, sometimes nothing at all. But, if you are patient, and wait and watch, you might be treated with this! This young black bear was almost hidden in the soybeans. Most times, they will sit, or even lay down while feeding, so the smaller ones will virtually disappear. Every once in a while they will pop their heads up to have a look around and smell the air.
