Artist's Description
Hatteras Island, is one of a group of barrier islands off the east coast of North Carolina, known as the Outer Banks. It juts out into the Atlantic ocean, where it's easternmost tip is known as Cape Point. As the island recedes back to the south, it is one of the rare places on the east coast where you can see the sun set over the ocean, This area, known locally as the south beach, is a beachcomber's paradise.
About Fon Denton
I was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. Now, back home, and just enjoying the ride. I've been a photographer for over 40 years, first as a hobbyist, and then as a professional. I've enjoyed a lifelong love affair with animals domestic and wild, especially horses. I am an animal advocate, an outdoorsman, and naturalist first, and then a photographer. I believe that it is important to know, understand, and respect and protect the subjects that you want to photograph before ever setting foot in the wild. Self-described as a thinker, philosopher, photographer, and geek, but mostly just a dreamer! I won't bore you with a lot of pretense and fluff.
