Artist's Description
I took this shot at the balloon festival in Raleigh, North Carolina, a couple of summers ago. The view is through the mouth of a hot air balloon, as it inflates. I was kneeling beside the basket, and this was taken between blasts from the heater. One of the riggers, is seen pulling lines. Backlit by the sun, it provides a nice silhouette, and a bit of perspective.
About Fon Denton
I was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. Now, back home, and just enjoying the ride. I've been a photographer for over 40 years, first as a hobbyist, and then as a professional. I've enjoyed a lifelong love affair with animals domestic and wild, especially horses. I am an animal advocate, an outdoorsman, and naturalist first, and then a photographer. I believe that it is important to know, understand, and respect and protect the subjects that you want to photograph before ever setting foot in the wild.
