Artist's Description

A fishing boat enters the channel between Hatteras Island and Ocracoke Island, on a calm evening. Returning from a day's fishing off shore. He was probably just putting nets out. If he was carrying a catch, the birds would be following. The old seafarer's wisdom says that the red sky means that tomorrow will be a good, so that bodes well for his return to haul the nets.

I was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. Now, back home, and just enjoying the ride. I've been a photographer for over 40 years, first as a hobbyist, and then as a professional. I've enjoyed a lifelong love affair with animals domestic and wild, especially horses. I am an animal advocate, an outdoorsman, and naturalist first, and then a photographer.
