Description

Commercial Crab pots stacked along the dock, waiting for the season to come back in. Crab season on the Outer Banks runs from late spring into early fall. These are wire boxes with a bait container inside. Crabs enter through funneled openings which prevent them from crawling or swimming back out. There are small holes or openings to allow fish to pass. They are made of different color wire, and the marker bouys are marked with the fisherman's ID.
