Description
The eastern gray squirrel, also known as the grey squirrel depending on region, is native to eastern North America, where it is the most prodigious and ecologically essential natural forest regenerator. This one is a neighborhood squirrel, who I call Chip, because of the small piece missing from his right ear. I presume it was lost in a territorial battle with another squirrel. It makes easy to identify him.
